Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, evening and night rotations (1500-0330 and 1900-0730), includes weekends and holidays
Highlights:
- Level II Trauma Center with nearly 45,000 patient visits annually
- Combined adult and pediatric emergency care including neonates through geriatrics
- Epic EMR system required; 20 hours of orientation provided
- 4:1 patient ratio with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and radiology
- Modern facility with 40 exam rooms plus 19 vertical care spaces with capacity to flex additional rooms during high volume
- Daily census of 140 patients with comprehensive emergency care capabilities
Requirements:
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
- Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
- Epic EMR experience required
- BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA only), and TNCC certifications required
- Previous travel experience required
- Must pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date (80% passing score with strict criteria for lethal rhythms and heart blocks)
- Trauma Level II experience required; Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
