Registered Nurse - Long Term Care
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Long Term Care (LTC) facility located on the campus of a hospital in Honakaa, Hawaii. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive nursing care to residents requiring long-term support and rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of clinical duties, ensuring the highest standard of patient care. This includes performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to manage patient care plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor resident conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and according to physician orders.
- Communicate pertinent patient information and changes in condition to physicians and nurse practitioners.
- Manage patient admissions and discharges efficiently.
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed.
- Provide specialized care including gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, and nebulizer treatments.
- Manage wound care, including wound vac applications.
- Oversee CPAP care for residents requiring respiratory support.
- Document all patient care, observations, and interventions thoroughly and accurately.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) setting or similar geriatric care environment.

- Proficiency in patient assessment and care planning.
- Strong medication administration and treatment delivery skills.
- Competence in gastrostomy tube care and urinary catheter management.
- Experience with nebulizer treatments, wound vac care, and CPAP management.
- Ability to assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Shift Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks.
- Start Date: October 5, 2026.
- Shift Type: Varied 8-hour shifts, including Days (0730-1530), Evenings (1500-2330), and Nights (2300-0730).
- Days per week: 5 days per week.
- Weekend/Holiday: Weekend and holiday rotations are required.
- Call: Overtime rotation may be required.
- Note: Shift preference and guaranteed hours are not provided.
Licensing Requirements
- Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license is required by the start of the assignment. Candidates not currently holding a Hawaii license must apply upon acceptance of an offer.
