# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – New York

Schedule:Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 15-week contract. Every other weekend required. Must be available to work every other holiday as needed.

- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 caring for adult and geriatric emergency patients
- EPIC charting system; experience required
- 528-bed acute care teaching facility with Magnet recognition and Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center certification
- Specialized care including neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI, cardiac emergencies, and pediatric ED services
- 24-hour orientation provided; up to 5 billable hours for pre-start module completion
Requirements:- Active New York Single State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience; 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS must be submitted with application)
- EPIC charting experience required
- Proficiency in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressors
- Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
- Clinical competency in CVA/stroke care, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
- Cardiac monitoring skills including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Emergency care experience with adult/pediatric patients, trauma, gunshot wounds, and ortho trauma
- Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage procedures
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
- Willingness to float within skillset as needed
