# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 7, 2026 **Location:** Corpus Christi, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day and night shifts available; 1:4 patient ratio for low acuity patients (ESI 4 & 5)Highlights:
- 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs, treating ESI levels 5 through 1
- Collaborative team environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage, and support staff
- Modern equipment including cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, and integrated vital signs documentation
- EMR: Meditech with streamlined charting capabilities
- Facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma designation
- Strong focus on timely care for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients
Requirements:
- Current RN license in Texas
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC or ENPC certification required
- Level II or Level III trauma experience strongly preferred
- Minimum two years of emergency department experience preferred
- CEN, TCRN, or CPI certification preferred
- Demonstrated compassion, urgency, and teamwork skills essential
Scope of Practice:
- Comprehensive patient assessments and documentation
- Medication administration and wound care management
- IV insertion, splinting, and lab specimen collection
- Care coordination across all acuity levels
- Participation in mandatory shift huddles and EMTALA training
