Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract assignment in Winnebago, Nebraska. This role involves providing direct, comprehensive patient care within a 24/7 Emergency Department that serves a community of approximately 10,000 individuals, with a physician on duty at all times.

The successful candidate will utilize the nursing process to assess, triage, and deliver high-quality care to acutely and critically ill patients. This position requires collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes, while upholding professional standards and respecting tribal/cultural traditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients presenting for emergency care based on history, physical assessment, and chief complaint.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for acutely and/or critically ill patients.
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed, including medication administration, intravenous fluids, and blood transfusions.
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure optimal patient care.
• Initiate and provide patient education plans as prescribed by a physician.
• Perform wound care, including cleaning and bandaging.
