Travelers must be willing and able to work in the trauma room as the bedside trauma RN. Travelers must be willing to take a patient ratio of 1:5. The Emergency Room is a fast-paced environment that treats a wide variety of patients. Emergency Department nurses manage critical care skills such as medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes. Patients range from those needing urgent care to critical care and trauma patients. Nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing care needs to ensure the highest level of safety and quality while promoting a positive patient experience.
