The registered nurse successfully completes a competency-based orientation program to become proficient in serving the Emergency Services patient population. Every other weekend commitment is required. Candidates with prior employment with the organization are not eligible for travel assignments. Travelers must be willing to float based on unit needs. Travelers will assist in critical procedures and emergency medications, including starting and maintaining IVs and blood product administration. The unit serves all patient age groups and utilizes specific protocols and systems for patient care.
