**Job Description:**
- **Unit:** Emergency Department
- **Shift:** 10:30 AM - 11:00 PM
- **Charge Capability:** Highly Preferred
- **Floating Required:** Yes
- **Scrub Color:** Navy Blue
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide top-notch emergency care to a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.
- Manage cases involving common diagnoses such as:
- Stroke
- Sepsis
- Trauma
- Myocardial Infarction (MI)
- Cardiac Arrest
- Respiratory Failure
- Utilize specialty equipment, such as:
- Rapid Infusor
- Arctic Sun
- Administer required drips and medications, including:
- Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
- Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
- Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido
- Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, Insulin
**Requirements:**
- Must live at least 75 miles away from the facility for travel roles; locals can apply (within 75 miles).
- Up-to-date resume showcasing:
- 2+ years of experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing
- Pediatric experience
- Travel experience
- Skills checklist that matches the specialty.
- Valid driver's license with an address that matches demographics.
- Current certifications in:
- AHA ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- TNCC
- NURSYS Report for license verification with an active NY license.
- Request Time Off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission.
