# Job Opportunity – Emergency Room Registered Nurse – VirginiaStart Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Hopewell, Virginia

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends (every other weekend required); at least one Friday and one Monday per 4-week schedule; no on-call requiredHighlights:- 22-bed Emergency Department with vertical space for surge capacity, serving a diverse patient population- Patient ratio of 1:4 with strong team support including charge nurses, techs, and medics on each shift- EMR system: Meditech (EDM) with Phillips & GE monitoring equipment and Level 1 Rapid Infuser- Perform a full range of emergency procedures including cardioversions, central line placements, cardiac arrests, code stroke and sepsis protocols- Potential float to freestanding emergency department location approximately 15 minutes away- Collaborative team environment with approximately 50 staff members across all shiftsRequirements:- Active Virginia RN license or compact state license- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required- Strong IV skills for adult and pediatric patients (required)- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Trauma experience and TNCC certification preferred- Meditech experience preferredWhy It's a Great Opportunity:This emergency department offers the ideal environment for energetic, patient-centered nurses who thrive in fast-paced settings.
