Description:
Contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
The schedule consists of night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
No call requirement is expected.
The unit has 32 beds and a staff of 117.
Patient ratios are 4:1.
Staff on the night shift includes 1 Clinical Nurse Coordinator, 6 RNs, 1 Medic, and 1 Patient Care Technician.
Candidates should demonstrate excellent teamwork skills.
They must be able to anticipate the needs of patients and the department.
Typical procedures performed on the unit include lumbar punctures, intubations, thrombolytic therapy, laceration repairs, suture removals, and splinting.
Dress code requires navy blue scrubs and navy blue zip-up sweaters.
Pullover sweatshirts are not acceptable attire.
This position may offer opportunities for permanent placement.
Candidates with greater than two years of experience may be preferred.
