Description:
The position involves serving patients in an Emergency Room setting.
Patient ratios will be 3:1 on all shifts.
Nurses will care for a variety of patients with medical, mental health, and chemical dependency needs.
Experience in handling trauma, cardiac, and neuro patients is preferred.
Nurses will initiate and complete inpatient orders and order sets for boarding patients awaiting placement.
Charting will be done using Epic (Excellian).
Candidates should demonstrate skills in starting and maintaining IVs, triage, and interpreting dysrhythmias.
Nurses may float within the facility to meet staffing needs, but this will be done within the scope of practice.
Team support includes IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Social Services, and Pharmacy.
The Emergency Room treats an average of 167 patients per day.
Candidates must comply with background checks.
All submitted candidates must have one supervisor reference.
Fingerprinting is a requirement for background checks.
