Job Opportunity – Emergency Department / Medical-Surgical RN – Iowa
Start Date: October 12, 2026
Location: Iowa
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week assignment; every 3rd weekend required; holiday coverage as needed; on-call responsibilities at $4/hour
Highlights:
- Dual-specialty role with primary focus on Emergency Department and secondary Medical-Surgical responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with House Supervisor and emergency department providers and mid-level practitioners
- Emergency department features board-certified physicians available 24/7, latest imaging equipment, and streamlined admission processes
- Comfortable treatment environment with 24-hour laboratory services and experienced emergency medicine staff
- Overtime, holiday, and call-back multipliers at 1.25%
- Limited time-off requests considered (maximum 5 days; must be submitted at time of application)
Requirements:
- Iowa RN License or Compact License (multi-state)
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience required
- High proficiency in both ED and Med-Surg specialties is essential
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
- BSN preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
- Current Emergency Room Skills Checklist (within 1 year) required
- Current Medical-Surgical Skills Checklist (within 1 year) required
- Two supervisory signed references from within the past two years required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from facility location
- Reliable personal vehicle required
