This position is for a fast-paced emergency department. The average daily census is 130 patients. The unit has 47 beds. Will care for patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric. Nurses will encounter a variety of patient diagnoses. Every other weekend is required. Holidays must be worked as scheduled. Floating within the specialty may be required. No pre-scheduled on-call requirements. Experience in community hospital settings is required. Travel experience is preferred. Candidates must have experience in managing ventilated patients and administering emergency medications. Candidates should be skilled in phlebotomy and have the ability to interpret arterial blood gases. Must be able to handle mental and behavioral health conditions. Expected to perform triage and manage acute psychosis. Candidates will support interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, social services, and pharmacy. This role will involve the management of complex patient needs in a high-pressure setting. All certifications must be from recognized organizations. Candidates must be prepared for varying patient diagnoses and conditions.
