Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2.5 years in a large volume Emergency Department with experience in a level II trauma center. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required. Must-Have: - Large volume ER experience of over 90,000 visits annually. - Must have experience with trauma care. - Experience with EPIC documentation system. Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The position requires working night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts each week. Candidates must have a minimum of 2.5 years of experience in a large volume Emergency Room, particularly in a level II trauma center. Experience with managing high patient volumes is essential. You will work with a diverse range of patients, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The department sees an average of 310 visits per day and requires weekend availability based on department needs. BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory, along with completion of NIH and PALS training. Candidates must be proficient in managing various emergency situations, including trauma cases. This role includes collaborating with interdisciplinary support teams. Applicants should have strong skills in venipuncture, central line management, and procedural sedation monitoring. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for success in this role. Consideration will be given to first-time travelers with the required experience.
