License: Current nursing license required.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS required.
Must-Have:
Must have large volume emergency room experience.
Candidates without the required experience will not be considered.
Description:
Emergency Department RN PM Shift.
First-time travelers are accepted if they have 2.5 years of experience.
Floating may be required based on department needs.
Weekend shifts are required as per department needs.
No on-call requirement.
Documentation system utilized is EPIC.
Pre-approved time off is at the discretion of the manager.
Holiday time off requests will be reviewed separately based on availability.
Candidates will float within the hospital based on census.
Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line management, and management of dysrhythmias.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily visits to the emergency department are approximately 310.
The unit has 64 beds and operates as a level II trauma center.
Minimum patient ratio on nights is 4 patients per nurse.
