Description: The Emergency Room RN is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Is able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. RNs coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. Every other weekend and holiday is required. A basic dysrhythmia test will be given in the first week of the assignment. This must be passed in order to work in the emergency department.
