Effective communication with others directly and in private when necessary to resolve issues is expected. Offering constructive feedback to assist in the professional development of peers is essential. The RN will confer with colleagues to expand their knowledge base. Identifying personal learning needs and taking initiative to begin appropriate solutions is important. Fulfilling all requirements of departmental competencies is necessary. Department-specific functions involve performing patient assessment and developing care plans in collaboration with providers, families, and patients.
