Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract assignment in Lincoln City, Oregon. This role is situated within a dynamic Emergency Department that provides comprehensive care for a diverse patient population, ranging from non-critical to emergent medical conditions, including urgent mental health needs.
The department welcomes all patients, whether arriving by walk-in or emergency transport. As an integral member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, with all staff certified to manage critical cardiac, trauma, and pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients presenting with a wide range of emergency conditions.
- Provide rapid and effective interventions for emergent and urgent medical and mental health crises.
- Manage care for critical cardiac, trauma, and pediatric patients according to established protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
