Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Certification Must-Have: Epic EMR experience in a similar unit within the last twelve months Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. Is capable of triaging safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient that enters the emergency care system. Coordinates care between other professional disciplines as needed. The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, and a basic dysrhythmia test will be given during orientation. This test must be passed in order to work in the emergency department. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every other weekend rotation and every other holiday may be required. A Basic Dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of the assignment. This test must be passed to work in the emergency department.
