Description:
Position: Registered Nurse ER (Adult)
Shift hours: 7 PM to 7 AM.
Charting: EPIC experience required.
Weekend Requirement: Must work every other weekend.
Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed.
Accepts first-time travelers.
Locals accepted for certain roles.
Required clinical skills:
IV therapy (blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting/maintaining IVs)
IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilator management
CVA (stroke), neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, TBI
Cardiac monitoring (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias)
Emergency care (adult/pediatric ED, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma)
Isolation precautions, triage, pediatric spinal cord injury
Ratios: 1:5; Adults, geriatrics; all emergency type diagnoses
Special Equipment: Bair hugger, rapid infuser, safe patient handling equipment
Floating: Will be required to float within skillset.
Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white.

It includes a dedicated pediatric emergency department, a discreet crisis intervention unit, and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients.
The facility is a 528-bed acute care teaching facility, recognized for excellence and certified in advanced stroke care.
The emergency department provides comprehensive care for all emergency diagnoses.
