The role involves delivering therapeutic nursing support in a safe, structured environment. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including crisis teams and emergency providers. The ideal candidate is passionate about psychiatric critical care nursing. Skills in building therapeutic relationships with both adult and adolescent patients are essential. Knowledge of crisis prevention and intervention strategies is required. The RN should confidently apply de-escalation and safety techniques to manage psychiatric emergencies. You will work to uphold each patient’s rights and dignity. The emergency department includes 21 beds and a behavioral health pod, among other facilities. Every other weekend and rotating holidays are required for this position.
