Job Summary
This role is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) at a facility located in Nashua, New Hampshire. The RN will be an essential member of the patient care team, responsible for delivering comprehensive direct and indirect patient care within the dynamic emergency department setting.
Key responsibilities include conducting thorough patient assessments upon admission, utilizing appropriate interview techniques to gather medical history, current status, vital signs, and diagnostic results. The RN will collaborate closely with physicians to plan and implement individualized care plans, ensuring high-quality and safe patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in the Emergency Room.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments upon admission, including medical history, current medical status, vital signs, and review of diagnostic tests (lab work, x-rays).
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications safely and accurately according to established protocols.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient documentation.
- Ensure patient safety and adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
- Interact positively and professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Respect patient's culture, lifestyle, religion, and age when planning and implementing care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.
- Successful completion of all requirements for Registered Nurse licensure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Clinical experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- Certification in a nursing specialty (e.g., CEN).
- Membership in a professional nursing organization.
