Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a Critical Access Hospital located in Morristown, Vermont. This vital role involves delivering comprehensive, age-specific direct patient care within a fast-paced emergency department environment.
The successful candidate will expertly apply the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring adherence to the Department of Nursing Standards and specialty-specific guidelines. This position demands a proactive approach to patient management, prioritizing patient safety and optimal outcomes.
The RN will also assume leadership responsibilities, including the effective delegation of tasks to other healthcare team members, while consistently upholding compliance with all applicable State and Federal healthcare laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-specific, direct patient care to a diverse patient population presenting with various medical and trauma conditions.
- Utilize the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation) to develop, implement, and modify individualized patient care plans.
- Adhere strictly to the Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care.
- Assume leadership responsibilities, including the effective and appropriate delegation of work to other levels of healthcare employees.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and organizational policies governing the provision of health care.
