Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening / Night Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active IL RN Licensure Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC or TNS Must-Have: Experience working in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center Description: We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an Emergency Department. This position involves working Evening and Night Shift hours with a weekend and holiday rotation. Candidates must have an Active Illinois RN Licensure and the required certifications at the time of application. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required. Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, standards of care, and State laws. Documents according to standards of care. Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care. Develops, initiates, and executes a patient plan of care according to the individualized needs of the patient. Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities. Utilizes clinical expertise and provides guidance to support the patient's plan of care. Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and patient experience and appropriately escalates concerns. Participates in the professional nursing continuum process, unit practice activities, and peer review process.
