- Previous charge experience
- Experience with patient ratios
- Familiarity with charting system
Description:
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
The unit accepts first-time travelers.
Floating to units of equal or lesser acuity may be required, possibly to the ICU.
Weekend shifts may be required.
Care of ventilated patients and management of dysrhythmias is expected.
The unit has a daily census of approximately 165 patients.
All rooms are monitored, and there is a computer with electronic health records in every room.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services.
The facility features a rapid response team and free-floating charge nurse.
Additional experience in charting systems, specifically Epic, is preferred.
The role requires the management of isolation precautions and adherence to PPE protocols.
All required certifications must be up-to-date before signing the contract.
