Description

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Georgia

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 48-hour guarantee; every other weekend required; flexible scheduling with maximum 7 days requested time off per contract (must be finalized at submission)

Highlights:

  • High-volume, high-acuity emergency department with 59 beds serving 165-175 patients daily
  • 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts
  • Stroke and STEMI certified facility providing critical care to diverse patient populations from neonates through geriatrics
  • Epic EMR system used exclusively; prior Epic experience required
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
  • 13-week assignment with orientation provided based on contract length

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; preference given to candidates with at least 3 completed ER travel assignments
  • Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state) required at time of submission
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; TNCC and SANE preferred
  • Demonstrated Epic charting system experience (hard stop requirement)
  • Experience with high patient ratios (1:4) and general emergency department procedures
  • Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
  • Full compliance documentation due Tuesday prior to start date
