Description:
This position involves delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced emergency department.
The facility is a level III trauma center equipped to handle various trauma cases.
Responsibilities include assessing and managing patients with varying medical conditions.
The department features a team nursing and pod system.
There is a social worker assigned to the department and a unit educator available.
Staffing includes a patient ratio of 4:1 in the main emergency department and 6:1 in the fast track area.
Equipment used includes Zoll defibrillators, blood transfusion devices, and point-of-care testing systems.
The electronic health record system in use is Cerner.
Common patient diagnoses treated include end-stage renal disease, substance abuse disorders, psychological disorders, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, abdominal pain, and chest pain.
Ideal candidates will have experience in emergency settings and a strong ability to manage critical situations.
