Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Schedule: Every other weekend required; scheduling meets departmental needs. No floating outside of the Emergency Department, but flexibility across all ED sections is required.

- 101-bed Emergency Department within a top 1% nationally recognized hospital serving as a Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Patient ratios: 4:1 for medical emergencies; up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Utilize Cerner documentation system, Baxter pumps, and GE monitoring equipment
- Collaborate with experienced techs, unit clerks, and a dedicated multidisciplinary team across triage, cardiac monitoring, and processing areas
- Serve a diverse, multicultural community representing over 120 languages
- Work in a facility recognized with Magnet Designation and Leapfrog "A" Hospital Safety Grade
Requirements:
- Active North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain prior to start date
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- 2 years' experience in a Level II Trauma Center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits) preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required before start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Team-oriented mindset with ability to provide real-time coaching and feedback
