The nurse will be responsible for caring for adult and geriatric patients. A strong background in emergency care is essential, including experience with trauma and stroke cases. Nurses will need to provide emergency interventions for various conditions, including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma. Ratios in the ER are expected to be 1:5. Nurses will need to float within their skill set when required. Special equipment available includes Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment. All nursing staff are expected to maintain high clinical standards and adhere to isolation precautions. Holiday and weekend shifts will be required every other holiday and every other weekend. Candidates must be able to interpret and manage dysrhythmias as well as conduct triage effectively.
