TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Manchester, New Hampshire, 03103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in a fast-paced emergency department, with strong pediatric presence preferred. License: Valid nursing license required. Certifications: ACLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Experience working with pediatric populations. - Epic experience required. - Traveler experience preferred; first-time travelers not accepted. Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a dynamic and fast-paced emergency department. The average daily census is approximately 70 patients, with about 160 visits per day. There are 36 rooms and 50 beds available in the department. The nurse will care for patients with a wide range of chief complaints and diagnoses. Duties include managing minor cuts and scrapes, fractures, abdominal pain, chest pain, and respiratory concerns. The nurse will also handle oncological and neurological emergencies, trauma, and psychiatric emergencies. Patient evaluations related to abuse/assault/neglect and substance use disorders will be part of the responsibilities. The nurse will perform triage and manage various levels of emergencies, including sepsis. Special procedures include conscious sedation, trauma alert activations, and stroke alert activations. The emergency department also has capabilities for cath lab activation and SANE consultations. The nurse will use specialized equipment such as point-of-care ultrasound and EPOC. The nurse will participate in a teamwork approach and assist with float requirements as needed. Every other weekend shift is required, and there are no call requirements. The patient care approach emphasizes helping hands and team nursing. Additional support is provided by multidisciplinary teams including physical therapy and pharmacy. Pediatric experience is highly preferred, especially in emergency settings. The nurse will not take patients that do not match their clinical assignment or team.
