Job Summary
This position is for an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse at a Level III Trauma Center in Zanesville, Ohio. The facility operates one of Ohio's top 10 busiest EDs, featuring 38 beds and 2 dedicated trauma bays.
The role involves providing comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, requiring strong clinical skills and adaptability to a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 3 years of current/recent Emergency Department experience OR completion of at least 3 ED travel assignments.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Epic EMR system.
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification.
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced clinical assessment and intervention skills in emergency situations.
- Proficiency in trauma care and critical care management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Competency in Epic EMR for documentation and patient management.
Shift Details
- Hours: 36 hours per week.
- Days: Not specified (typically 3 shifts per week for 36 hours).
- Shift Type: Rotating evening/night shifts (e.g., 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
- Call Requirements: Rare.
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required.
- Holiday Rotation: Required.
- Contract Length: 13 weeks.

- Active Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
