Job Summary
Join our dedicated surgical team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) at Northern Montana Health Care in Havre, Montana. This vital role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the perioperative continuum, from pre-operative assessment through intra-operative support and post-operative care.
Working under the supervision of the Operating Room Supervisor, the OR RN is responsible for anticipating the needs of the surgical team, ensuring a sterile and safe environment, and upholding the highest standards of patient welfare. This position requires a self-motivated professional committed to supporting the mission and nursing philosophy of our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide proactive support to ensure smooth procedure execution.
- Maintain an aseptic and safe surgical environment at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
- Document all aspects of patient care accurately and comprehensively.
- Act as a resource person for the surgical team and contribute to a positive team environment.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse, with strong circulating skills.
- Must not be a current resident of Montana living within a 250-mile radius of Havre, Montana.
