- Identify and mitigate risks to patient safety and opportunities to reduce medical errors.
- Recognize ethical issues in care and develop thoughtful plans to address them.
- Administer medications and intravenous therapy safely in accordance with established protocols.
- Assess and reassess patient pain levels, implementing effective pain control measures.
- Perform initial assessments upon patient arrival and implement triage protocols as necessary.
- Safeguard vulnerable patients by identifying risks for abuse and implementing safety plans.
- Collect forensic evidence when required and maintain adherence to all mandated reporting policies.
- Stay updated on Disaster Policy and Procedure to ensure readiness in crises.
- Recognize the signs of potential violent behavior and implement non-violent interventions.
- Demonstrate your skills in managing critical care situations, including intubation and monitoring complex therapies.
- Maintain accurate documentation for medication reconciliation and adhere to VAP bundle protocols.
- Contribute to a collaborative team dedicated to excellence in patient care!
**Functional Demands:**
- Ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally.
- Frequent reaching, handling, and feeling, with occasional stooping and kneeling.

**Job Requirements:**
- Education: AS in nursing required; BS in nursing preferred.
- Work Experience: 3-5 years of ED experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Current MA Registered Nurse License
- ACLS upon hire OR valid BLS card (AHA ACLS within 60 days)
- AHA PALS within six months
- TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred
**Shift Information:**
- 12p-12a, Every 3rd weekend, Every 3rd holiday, Varied Schedule Monday-Sunday
