Must-Have:
Previous charge experience preferred.
Experience with a patient ratio of 1 RN to 4 patients.
Preferred experience with the charting system Epic.
Experience in a Level I trauma center is preferred.
Description:
This position requires an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.
The nurse will be responsible for managing high-acuity patients in a regional referral center for trauma, cardiac, and stroke care.
The typical patient population is adults, with some trauma patients aged 15 and up.
Daily census in the emergency department is approximately 175 visits, with an average of 50 ambulance presentations.
The nurse will provide care in areas such as STEMI and stroke care, as well as trauma care to definitive care.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, and rapid response teams.
Weekend shifts are required, typically every other weekend.
Travelers may be required to float to other similar facilities if needed.
Candidates must be flexible and able to commit to working during the holidays.
