Join a comprehensive healthcare network as an Emergency Department Inpatient RN. The Emergency Department seeks experienced nurses for a unique nursing role. The ED Inpatient RN will be responsible for providing care for emergency department patients that are admitted and awaiting bed placement. The ED Inpatient RN will care for a diverse patient population in both inpatient and observation categories. This role allows RNs to advance their skills and knowledge in emergency care. This department is one of the busiest and is an accredited Level I Trauma Center. The facility treats patients of the highest acuity in the region. The Emergency Department consists of 108 beds and an additional 19 bed observation unit. On average, the department treats 109,000 patients annually. Our nurses are known for their ability to think and act quickly in meeting patient needs. They are highly skilled, flexible, and resilient, working in a team environment to provide high satisfaction levels. The Emergency Department received an award for demonstrating excellence in leadership and innovative nursing practice. Qualifications include a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a BSN degree preferred. Consideration may be given to ASN/ADN RNs with relevant experience. Three or more years of recent medical-surgical, float pool, or comparable acute care experience is preferred. Certifications required prior to hiring include BLS and proof of arrhythmia certification.
