Description:
Provide care for emergency department patients who are admitted and awaiting bed placement.
Responsible for caring for a diverse patient population in both inpatient and observation settings within the Emergency Department.
The role allows RNs to advance their skills and knowledge in emergency care.
The Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the region, treating patients of the highest acuity.
The department features 108 beds, including a 19-bed observation unit, and treats an average of 109,000 patients annually.

Assignments may be given based on census and acuity needs.
All call-outs are expected to be made up and scheduled accordingly.
