Description

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience required. 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience required. License: Active state nursing license required. If no state license, must have already applied and provide application date. Certifications: ACLS BLS NIHSS PALS Must-Have: No disciplinary issues on nursing license. Phone or virtual interview required. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room. The position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend work is required. Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility will be evaluated accordingly. All requested time off must be submitted with the application. No time off will be approved after the offer. Travelers must arrange coverage for any additional shifts if needed. The role involves caring for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues. Candidates must interpret and manage heart rhythm changes. Experience in administering blood products is required. Candidates should manage central lines and start and maintain IVs. Administering IV sedation and vasopressors is also necessary. Caring for stroke patients and ventilated patients is a key responsibility. Management of BiPAP/CPAP and interpretation of arterial blood gases is required. Isolation precautions must be followed. Performing triage is part of the role. Candidates will be responsible for independently measuring telemetry strips. Accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients is essential. Candidates must achieve a minimum score of 80% on a telemetry assessment on the first day of orientation. If a nurse does not pass the initial assessment, further educational resources will be offered. Assessment covers identification of heart blocks, various arrhythmias, and appropriate clinical interventions.
