**Job Description:**
Are you a skilled nurse ready to make an impact in an exciting environment? We are seeking passionate Registered Nurses for our Emergency Room, where you can showcase your talents and face new challenges every day!
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Deliver routine and complex care to a diverse patient population, including clinic patients, strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy complications, pediatrics, and behavioral health cases.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families while adhering to appropriate protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, family members, and caregivers on relevant issues and resources.
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to ensure effective management of the clinical situation.
**Job Requirements:**
- **Education/Skills:**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
- **Experience:**
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Emergency Department (ED) nursing—Level 1, 2, or 3 Trauma.
- **Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:**
- Current BLS certification (AHA only).
- Current ACLS certification (AHA only).
- Current PALS certification (AHA only).
- Current TNCC certification required.
- Valid RN License in the state of NM or compact.
- **Position Requirements:**
- Successful completion of New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.
- Participate in a preceptorship program, validating competencies at the bedside.
- Completion of all annual competency verification requirements.
