Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours weekly, night shift 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM with weekend rotations

Highlights:
  • 13-week travel assignment in a 7-bed Emergency Department with a daily census of 27 patients
  • 3:1 patient ratio across all shifts providing quality patient care
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
  • Cerner charting system with 48 hours of orientation
  • Diverse patient population spanning all age groups from infants to geriatrics
  • Up to two pre-approved time off periods available during contract
Requirements:
  • Active and unencumbered West Virginia RN License or valid Compact License (pending license accepted for submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS through the American Heart Association (AHA); TNCC preferred
  • Proficiency in rapid assessment, triage, trauma management, and advanced life support across various medical conditions
  • Expert-level IV access and emergency interventions skills
  • Minimum 2 Manager or Charge Nurse references from the past 2 years
  • Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility location
  • Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccination not required

Additional Information:

Orientation is held every other Monday. Online modules are required prior to start date (non-billable, approximately 2-6 hours completion time). Complete application file due by noon Thursday prior to start date. Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from last employment date before returning as a traveler.
