Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment at a prominent Women's Breast Care Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This role is integral to providing specialized care within a dynamic breast care environment, focusing on interventional procedures.

The successful candidate will work within a collaborative team, supporting patients undergoing various breast care interventions. This position requires a commitment to patient safety, comfort, and high-quality care throughout the procedural process, from pre-assessment to post-procedure recovery.

This is a travel assignment; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing interventional breast procedures, including biopsies and localizations.
  • Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments, ensuring patient readiness and understanding of the procedure.
  • Administer medications, including conscious sedation, and monitor patient response during procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and assist radiologists during interventional procedures.
  • Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and manage potential complications post-procedure.
  • Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery.
  • Accurately document all aspects of patient care, assessments, and interventions.
  • Collaborate effectively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recent, direct experience as a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology or a related specialty (e.g., Breast Care, Diagnostic Imaging).
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
  • Ability to commit to a travel assignment; not eligible for local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility.
