Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC required.
Must-Have:
- Epic experience required.
- Traveler will be required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.
Description:
Evening 12-hour shifts from 1100 to 2330 or 1500 to 0330 include weekends and holidays.
The position involves providing comprehensive emergency care to a diverse patient population.
The department has designed protocols to rapidly stabilize patients for admission or transfer.
Designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and an Acute Stroke Ready Center.
Recognized as a Pediatric Ready Emergency Department, ensuring timely, evidence-based care.
The facility includes 40 exam rooms and 19 vertical care spaces with the ability to flex additional rooms to manage high demand.
Staff coordinate closely with ambulance services and Med Flight for the care of critically ill and injured patients.
ED nursing and tech staff also serve as a rapid response team for the entire facility.
Required patient ratios are four patients per nurse during days and nights.
Travelers will be required to float as needed.
All candidates must meet rigorous passing criteria on telemetry testing before starting.
Traveler will have two attempts to pass the telemetry exam.
Passing scores of 80% or higher are required for both adult and pediatric assessments.
If failing the second attempt, candidates must provide proof of a cardiac interpretation review course before a third attempt is allowed.
Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
Team members work collaboratively with interdisciplinary support including various specialized services.
Daily census is approximately 140 patients.
