Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Required Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: Lying just inland between the coastal mountain ranges and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this location has been serving the Central Valley since 2011. It is comprised of a 49-bed acute care hospital and multiple clinics with primary and specialty care services. It is a perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts, close to national parks. In addition to the beautiful landscape, it offers a great cost of living and close-knit communities. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. You will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. This position requires coordination of care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment. Essential functions include collecting relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situations. You will analyze assessment data in determining diagnosis and care issues. The role involves developing a care plan with prescribed interventions to attain outcomes. You will implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes is a key responsibility. Identifying outcomes for patients or their situations is essential. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and healing environment is required. You will provide learning opportunities for patients and team members. Direct health information will be provided to patients and families. Participation in discharge planning is crucial for continuity of care. You must delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members. Other job-related duties may be assigned.
