Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: RN - Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum years experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required - STABLE certification required Must-Have: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Acute care facility experience preferred Description: This role involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. You will supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinate care with other disciplines. Utilizing critical thinking skills, professional discretion, and independent judgment is essential. Responsibilities include collecting relevant data pertinent to patient health or situation. You will analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses and care issues. Developing plans that prescribe interventions to attain outcomes is necessary. You will implement the plan, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes is part of your duties. Identifying outcomes for patients or their situations is required. Collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care is critical. You will provide learning opportunities for patients and family members on the care team. Directly providing health information to patients, families, and the treatment team is expected. Participating in discharge planning is necessary to ensure continuity of care. You will delegate appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members.
