Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: State or Compact License Required Certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 3:1 - Required experience with charting system - Travel experience preferred Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Room position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to diverse patient age groups, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily patient census averages 65 with approximately 65 visits per day. The unit has a total of 11 beds. The nurse will maintain skills in blood product administration and care of ventilated patients. Responsibilities include management of intravenous (IV) infusions and procedural sedation administration/monitoring. Experience with Epic charting is required. The candidate should have strong skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing them. Additional competencies in phlebotomy and starting and maintaining IVs are necessary. The position requires commitment to ongoing education and training to stay current with emergency care practices. This role involves collaborative work with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and radiology. Candidates should be adaptable and ready to respond to the fast-paced environment of the emergency room.
