The position does not float between units. There is no on-call requirement. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. The expected patient ratio is 1:4. Special requirements include BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS. This facility is a level 3 trauma center, with TNCC required. The facility is a short-term acute care center with 108 total staff beds. Scrub colors are flexible for RN/Allied staff. Scrubs are provided for specific departments. Charting is done using an electronic health record system. The patient population includes neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census and visit numbers vary. Common patient diagnoses include trauma, stroke, chest pain, pediatrics, and behavioral health. The unit is supported by respiratory services, social services, and more. Critical procedures include phlebotomy, IVs, and EKG administration. All required skills and experiences must be present for applicants. Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays annually. References required covering at least one year within the last three years. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities if required. Candidates should not reach out to facility contacts directly. Modules are non-billable and must be completed during orientation. All time spent on modules counts towards non-billable hours. Submit all scheduling requests during the application process. Inflexibility beyond the contracted schedule may lead to termination of contract.
