Description:
The emergency department has a total of 25 beds.
The patient ratio is typically 4:1 and may increase to 5:1 during surges.
When staffing allows, there is a unit secretary available along with patient care technicians.
Equipment includes GE monitors, Baxter pumps, and Zoll travel monitors.
The documentation system in use is MediTech Expanse.
Scheduling requirements are for 36 hours per week, with every other weekend expected for travelers.
Strong communication skills and the ability to make personal connections with patients are essential.
Advanced skills in emergency department competencies are required for this position.
The dress code is navy blue scrubs.
Unit-specific policies and guidelines will be provided during onboarding.
