Travel ER RN is needed to start in a facility in Colorado. CO or compact license is required. 2 years of experience is required. Certifications required are ACLS and BLS. TNCC is preferred. Shifts consist of 6pm-6am. Weekends are generally every third but they can do a block of up to 6 every other weekend for one if desired. 36 hours per week are guaranteed. There is no call. They will work in the holiday rotation and they could let them know what holidays they would be required upfront. They are looking for someone to cover ER AND med surg during the shift. They are small so all their nurses working take floor patients and take turns taking the ER patients that come in. Their staff also does OB but they do not require our travelers to take L&D patients. Nurse to patient ratios - Medsurg our average daily census is 4 and they staff two RN's plus and aide. They are a 15 bed hospital so they can have more and they always have a nurse they can call in if they get overwhelmed. Telemetry - They have telemetry and it is Phillips. The nurses read their own strips and watch the monitors. No monitor techs. They titrate drips but rarely, usually those are in ER and awaiting transfer but occasionally happens with cardiac meds or insulin. Vents - They have a vent and bipap. They have RT during the day and nurses manage at night. Floating - They only have one floor but it includes med-surg, post-op, ER bays, and post-partum. EMR is Cerner. Medication Systm is Pyxis.
