Job Description:
We are seeking experienced ER RNs for a high-volume Trauma Center ER (56 beds, expanding to 60-70s with hall beds) on a 13-week travel contract. This department sees approximately 170-200 patients/day, with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio (1:4 for lower acuity). The unit has a dedicated Fast Track (6 beds), a separate Triage area (5 beds), 18 designated holding beds for inpatients, and a locked Psych/seclusion area with 6 private rooms. Common diagnoses include Cardiac, Stroke, Sepsis, DKA, AMS, Respiratory, Abdominal Pain, and Mental Health cases. RNs draw their own labs (with lab support for difficult draws), and the unit uses EPIC charting with telemetry monitoring (Monitor Techs present; RNs read their own strips). No floating required.
