Job Title: Emergency Department Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a Level I trauma center. Required experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with Epic charting is required. License: Active state license required. Certifications: ACLS BCLS by AHA PALS TNCC NIH Must-Have: Level I trauma experience. Willingness to work 3 weekends (Friday to Sunday) per 4-week schedule. Acknowledgment of high patient ratios, which could reach up to 8 patients. Compliance with required certifications and documentation before the start date. Description: We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse. This role involves providing care in a Level 1 trauma center and pediatric emergency department. The emergency department is currently experiencing high patient ratios. Travelers with prior Level I trauma experience will be considered. The unit offers support staff including IV teams, physical therapists, and social services. Nurses will be expected to manage and care for various patient diagnoses including trauma, cardiac, and pediatric cases. The department employs a 5-level triage system to expedite patient care. Candidates must complete required modules prior to starting their assignment. The environment is fast-paced, and nurses should be prepared for a high-volume workload. This position fosters collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifying candidates should demonstrate strong clinical skills in emergency care.
