Description:
Locals accepted.
Same pay for locals.
Must submit requests for time off (RTO) at the time of application.
No additional RTO will be approved later on.
No RTO allowed for the month of July.
Start date is as soon as possible.
On-call requirement: No.
Weekend work required: Yes, 3 weekends (Friday-Sunday) per 4-week schedule.
Floating may include pediatric emergency department.
Required experience includes interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
Must have continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience.
Triage experience is preferred.
The unit is a Level 1 Trauma Center and Stroke Center.
High patient ratios: typically 1:5-6, potentially up to 8 depending on patient volume.
Traveler must have the requisite certifications.
Modules must be completed before starting work.
Patient demographics include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.
Daily census averages around 250 visits.
Staffing ratios may vary by shift; Days 1:4-6, Nights 1:4-7.
Education requirements include proof of high school level education.
The department has advanced nursing guidelines to expedite patient care.
Special procedures may include care for major trauma, neuro, cardiac, pediatrics, and high-risk obstetrics.
Interdisciplinary support includes various specialized teams to assist in patient care.
